Winter Vacation in Tux / Hintertux

Fun on the slopes with skis or snowboards

Due to the healthy altitude of up to 3,250 meters above sea level, guaranteed snow and white winter landscapes are entirely up to nature.

A special attraction is the “Glacier Circuit”! With its 72 km of descents and 15,000 meters of altitude, it is a fascinating challenge for a day trip! 227 km of slopes and 59 lifts with a lift capacity of 98,840 p/h offer a new piste experience every day without waiting times and guaranteed snow all year round. The powder snow guarantee from October to May and the snow-covered valley runs to Hintertux, Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach make Tux one of the leading winter sports regions in the Alps.

Cross-country skiing: classic or skating

The sporting offerings in the Tuxertal include 14 km of classic cross-country ski trails that lead from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit, and 14 km of skating tracks in Juns/Madseit. Please note the direction of the cross-country trail arrow!
The cross-country ski trail is maintained by the Tux-Finkenberg Tourism Association and is available for free use.

Away from the ski slopes

Have you already tried out the many options off the piste? The wonderful winter landscape invites you to discover nature in white - everyone in their own way - whether on a toboggan ride or a sleigh ride!
Access to all huts is possible by taxi.

Local traffic must be expected on the toboggan runs. Please note the toboggan times!

Ice skating - curling

Experience “Fun on Ice” on the large natural ice rinks in Lanersbach! No matter whether you venture onto the ice on fast skates or just watch the children do pirouettes, fun is guaranteed! Whether small or large - there is something going on here for everyone! Traditional curling also ensures fun and varied hours away from the piste. 4 curling rinks in Lanersbach offer fun action with “Stave & Stick” in long-distance shooting and target shooting. Have lots of fun - during the day or in the evening - alone, as a couple or in a group!
A little tip: The finish water will be provided!

Winter hiking trails

The 68 km of winter hiking trails, some of which have only been bulldozed, paved or cleared, provide winter variety. The winter hiking trails to the Eggalm, the Penken or the Sommerbergalm are a challenge - the reward is rustic huts and panoramic restaurants with Zillertal specialties.

If you prefer to experience the great view in a leisurely manner, you can take the cable cars to the individual mountain stations. Hiking is exercise training. Muscles, tendons and ligaments are strengthened and the circulation gets going. Blood is increasingly pumped through the body.
